Clinton boys baseball heading to states with plenty of support behind them

CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Clinton Boys Baseball team is heading back to the state tournament!
With yet another crack at the State Title upon them, the team received a proper send-off from the Clinton Community as they headed onto their bus for Binghamton, Friday afternoon.
Students and parents filled the gym at the high school to wish the team good and show their support.
Each player was introduced individually, while the Warrior faithful cheered them on with signs and applause.
After seeing the New York Mills boys basketball, Notre Dame girls basketball, and Poland girls soccer teams win State Championships in their respective seasons this past year, the Warriors are looking to become the next to bring hardware back to the area.
"We want to be like them," said Clinton head coach, Tom Pfisterer. "We want to bring it home, and we want to show that our community has raised some great young men and great ball players, and we want to have something to show for it."

The team finally hit the road shortly after noon, and is now getting set for their State Semi-Finals match-up, Saturday afternoon, at 1 p.m.
