Smith goes down in Dawgs win in Clinton

CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - Westmoreland's 26-12 victory Saturday was marred in the third quarter, when QB Dan Smith went down with an injury to his left forearm, and will likely be out for the rest of the year.  Smith threw for 139 yards and three touchdowns before the injury, and also ran it eight times for 38 yards.

Jason Colburn caught five passes for 96 yards and two of Smith's TDs.  Ryan Murling added 17 carries for 115 yards.

Clinton's two scores were both through the air, by QB Joe Gaetano, but the Warriors fought hard to keep it close after winning their first game of the year the previous week, against Waterville.
