Cooperstown beats Sauquoit in extra innings


SAUQUOIT VALLEY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Cooperstown needed extra innings to hold off Sauquoit 13-12 on Wednesday.

The Indians came from behind twice to tie the score only to loose on sacrifice fly hit to deep center field by Kyle Liner. Josh Hotaling tagged up from second base to score the winning run. Liner was a one man wrecking crew. He had a solo homer in the first inning and came on to strike out seven in relief. Cooperstown improves to 6-2 overall.

Sauquoit's Steve Szatko had 3 RBI’s and a triple. Nick Critelli and Josh Jarecki 2 RBI’s each. The Indians drop to 2-2 overall
