Cooperstown tops Sauquoit


SAUQUOIT VALLEY, N.Y. (WKTV) - After a slow start, the Cooperstown Redskins picked things up a notch and went on to beat Sauquoit 74-54 in a CSC Division III showdown on Tuesday night.

Michael Moakler led all scorers with 28 points while Jay Davine and Jeremiah Ford chipped in 18 and 13 respectively. The Redskins improve to 16-1.

Sauquoit got off to the early lead but Cooperstown went on a 22-0 run and never looked back. The Indians were led by Colin Jackson's 12 points. They drop to 11-6.
