Spicer, IHC ambush Cooperstown

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Cooperstown girls basketball team fell victim to a powerful Watertown IHC squad Friday night in the Class C-1 Section III final at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.  Adriana Spicer helped pace the Cavs 24-0 first quarter run from which the Redskins never recovered.

Spicer scored a game high 28, while Danielle Zimmer added 18 for an IHC team that won its first section title since 2005.

Cooperstown, who finishes the season at 17-4, were led by Holli Erickson's 12 points, while Katelynn Kiuber added 10.
