DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - Dolgeville senior Ryan Barton set a new school record for three pointers Wednesday night, hitting 7 in the Blue Devils 62-55 win at home against Adirondack. Barton also led all scorers with 22 points for the game, and had an exciting block in the first quarter, which led to a basket by Zach Goyette. T.J. Scharpou added 13 while Chris Robotham had 12. Marty Candee had the Adirondack high, with 15.
The Blue Devils took a 23-17 lead after a quarter, thanks to a few key shots by Barton, but Candee and Mike Conley (11 points) led a comeback, to pull the Wildcats to within 4 at the half, at 36-32. The game was close until a 20-10 fourth quarter run by the Blue Devils put the game out of reach.
With the win, Dolgeville improves to 4-1 on the year, and a perfect 3-0 in CSC Division I. Adirondack falls to 4-2, 2-2 in the league.
