Wildcats escape with win over Frankfort
FRANKFORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Adirondack boys basketball team nearly left Frankfort on the losing end after reliquishing their fourth quarter lead, but came back to win 56-54 Friday night. The Maroon Knights, who led the game in the final minutes, turned the ball over three times, giving the Wildcats the chance they needed to take back the lead, hitting two free throws with 3.5 seconds left.
Andre Adkins and Matt Sprowell each had 10 points for Adirondack (10-4, 7-2 CSC D-I), while Joe Cooper led the way for Frankfort, with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Alex Fahey also added 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Maroon Knights (3-11, 1-8).
