Frankfort-Schuyler opens with shootout win over ND


FRANKFORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - With Class C East wide open this year, Frankfort-Schuyler made a strong opening statement Friday night, beating rival Notre Dame 56-35.  Joe DeSarro threw for 110 yards and ran for 117 more, scoring three times on the ground and picking off three passes on defense.

Mitchell Shortt added 132 yards and four touchdowns on the ground for the Maroon Knights, while also intercepting a pass on defense.

Frankfort took a 38-14 lead at halftime and never looked back.  Kevin Warmack threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more for the Jugglers.

The Maroon Knights will next visit Mt Markham next Friday night, while Notre Dame visits Holland Patent on Saturday.
