SAUQUOIT VALLEY, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Sauquoit girls soccer team played their first game in the Class C sectionals Thursday, beating Frankfort 6-0 in a game shortened 20 minutes because of blinding snow. Elisa Marchione scored the first four goals of the game to pace the undefeated Lady Indians (15-0-2).
Nicole Burline scored with less than six minutes to go in the half to give Sauquoit a 5-0 lead. Kelly Brennan added another in the second half.
The game was called halfway through the second half because of the conditions on the turf field, which led the teams and the officials to call it early.
Sauquoit, the #2 seed in Section III Class C, will face #3 Bishop Ludden Saturday in the semifinals.
