Spartans muscle out win over Hamilton

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The New Hartford hockey team earned its fourth win of the season in a physical 6-0 win over Hamilton.  Clayton Whittemore scored the first goal of the game two and a half minutes into the game, and the Spartans never looked back.  Captain Jason Fitzgerald scored the first of his two goals late in the first to give New Hartford a two goal advantage.

Emerald Knights goalie Brendon Rusch had a busy night, saving 29 shots.  In comparison, Spartan goalie Tyler Kraft only had to deflect 7.

The Spartans improved to 4-1 on the season, while Hamilton fell to 2-3-1.
