ILION, NY (WKTV) - The Herkimer Magicians did all their scoring in the first half. It's a good thing too because it was all the scoring they needed in their 14-12 win over Ilion. Mike Fahy scored on a six and five yard run respectively.  John Bellinger had 95 yards on the ground.

Herkimer had a 14-0 lead with under a minute to go when Matt Soullas threw a 20 yard pass to Joe Patrei for a touchdown to make it 14-6 at the half. Ilion would add another in the 4th quarter as Collin Rostohar ran 3 yards for a touchdown. The Bombers had a chance to win it with a minute to go but Herkimer blocked a field goal attempt.

With the win, Herkimer is now tied for first place with Frankfort in the Class C east. A win next week over Sauquoit and the Magicians secure the Class C east league title as they own the head to head matchup with Frankfort.
