ILION, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Ilion Golden Bombers seem to finally be finding their groove. After a mediocre start to the season, they have won four in a row and five of their last six, as they downed Herkimer 54-50 on Thursday night.

It was a tight game the whole way with Herkimer leading 15-10 after the first quarter. However the Bombers would lead the next two quarters and hold off the Magicians.  Tom Moore led all scorers with 25 points while teammate Joe Patrei chipped in 18. Herkimer's John Crandall and Jeff Mlinar scored 14 each.

The Magicians dropped to 6-7 overall and 6-2 in the league. Ilion improves to 6-7 and 4-4 in the league.
