HOLLAND PATENT, NY (WKTV) - To be the best, you have to beat the best. While the Holland Patent Golden Knights are very good, they are not the best....yet. They took the Clinton Warriors to overtime before Trevor Creedon scored the game winner to take the 3-2 victory on Thursday.

The Knights got the scoring started in the first half on a huge throw in by Greg Squire. The ball went through the hands of Clinton goalie Rob Larkin and Marcus Giovannone was able to put in the loose ball to give Holland Patent the 1-0 lead. Clinton quickly tied things up. Off a direct kick by Dwight Vicks, Blaine Stottler headed it in and the game was tied at one at the half.

Holland Patent took a 2-1 lead in the second half on a goal Squire and once again Clinton had to battle back. Midway through the half the Steve Abdoo tied the game at two. With the win, Clinton improves to 6-0 overall and in the league. Holland Patent is now 7-1 overall, 5-1 in the league.
