HP contains VVS in Tri-Valley action

VERONA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Holland Patent Boys Basketball team won a low scoring Tri-Valley game at VVS on Friday night, 50-38 over the Red Devils. The game was tied at just 6 after the first quarter, with the Golden Knights taking an 18-15 lead at the break.
The fourth quarter was ultimately the difference, with Holland Patent sinking 14 free throws, and outscoring VVS 20-7. Adam Kahler led the Golden Knights with 12 points, and Alex Smith adding 11. Joe Spinella of VVS scored a game high 15.
HP, who improved to 2-4 win the win, will travel to New Hartford on Tuesday for their next game. VVS, who fell to 1-3, will also play Tuesday, hosting Oneida.
