Ilion tops Mohawk in five overtimes

MOHAWK, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Ilion Golden Bombers blew an early lead by would hang on to beat Mohawk 80-79 in five overtimes.

Mohawk trailed 18-6 after the first quarter only to battle back and get within four points at the half. The teams would battle through five extra sessions before Connor Morris hit the eventual game winning shot for Ilion in the fifth overtime.

Tommy Moore led the Bombers with 25 points while Richard Carpenter chipped in 17. Ilion is now 6-3 in the league, just a game behind Mohawk and Adirondack for second place. Mohawk, who suffered just their second loss of the season. They are now 13-2 overall, 7-2 in the league.
