Ilion keeps rolling, beats ND-RCH

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - In six games this season, Ilion has rolled over all of their competition and Saturday was no exception as the Golden Bombers beat Notre Dame-Rome Catholic 56-23 in a battle for first in Class C East.  With the win, Ilion is guaranteed at least a tie for first in the league.

The Golden Bombers (6-0) took a 12-0 lead at the end of the first quarter, then scored two more times before halftime.  The first was a peculiar score, as Jon Treen fumbled the ball into the hands of teammate Zach Smith.  Treen then scored from 11 yards out later in the quarter.

The Jugglers picked up their only touchdown of the first half with 28 seconds to go, as Colin Pastorella found Colin Hulser for a 35 yard score.

ND-RCH (3-3) will finish their regular season Friday night at Herkimer, with second place in the league on the line.
