Boys Basketball:Murphy scores his 1000th point as Mohicans come back to beat Ilion

MOHAWK, N.Y. (WKTV) - After trailing by three at the half, the Mohawk Mohicans went on a 25-8 run in the third and went on to win 63-56 on Monday night. The story of the game though was Carson Murphy.

Not only did the Mohicans junor scored 41 points, he scored his 1000th career point. His 20 point third quarter outburst was the key to Mohawk's win.

Ilion was led by Kewon Perez who had 15 points.

Mohawk is now 16-1 and will travel to Mt. Markham for the regular season finale on Friday. Sectional pairings will be announced on Sunday.
