Girls Basketball: Little Falls outduels Herkimer in double overtime

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - In a huge CSC Division II showdown Tuesday night, the Little Falls girls basketball team toppled rival Herkimer 63-57 in double overtime. After the Lady Mounties scored the first four points, on two Jenna Becker baskets, the Lady Magicians went on a run, taking a 15-7 lead early in the second quarter.
But Little Falls kept it close, pulling within four, 23-19 at halftime. The score was tied at 45 at the end of regulation and 52-52 after the first overtime.
Jenna Becker of Little Falls (6-4, 4-1 CSC DII) scored a game high 26 points, inching her closer to 1,000 on her career. Sister Hannah added 13.
Former Athlete of the Week Samantha Carswell led Herkimer (6-4, 3-2 CSC DII) with 20 points, while Sarah Kinney added 17.
