Mustangs Hold Off Wildcats To Win B-2 Semfinal

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Mt. Markham Mustangs topped Adirondack 56-53 in the Class B-2 semfinal game held at Proctor on Friday night.

In a back and forth game in which the Mustangs led by five at the half, the Wildcats came back to lead by one going into the fourth quarter. Josh Pugh, who played with foul trouble in the second half, was held to just eight points. However, his teammates rallied as Matt Casale led the way with 14 points. Tyler Mattox also stepped up big scoring 7 of his 11 points in the fourth quarter.

Nick Winters led the Wildcats with 20 points. They finish the season 13-9.

Mt. Markham will Hannibal in the B-2 final on March 6th at 8:15 at Manley Field House.
