Waterville dominates Mt. Markham in season opener


WATERVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - Jerry Corrigliano had high hopes for his team this season and right off the bat they showed just what they can do. The Indians tamed the Mustangs 33-0 on Friday night behind a very well balanced attack.

Erik Miller led the way with two first half touchdown runs. He finished with 102 yards on the night as Waterville had a 20-0 lead at the half.

Donnie March had an outstanding night as well. He went 12-19, 247 yards and two touchdown passes, one to Brett Baumgarten and one to Ross Rashford. Tyler Curtis added a touchdown run as well. Brett Button led the way on defense with 10 tackles.

Waterville (1-0) will host RCH next Friday night while the Mustangs (0-1) host Sauquoit.
