Mustangs avenge early loss to Sauquoit

SAUQUOIT VALLEY, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Mount Markham boys basketball team used a second quarter run to beat Sauquoit 65-50 Tuesday night.  The Mustangs avenged their only loss in CSC Division II, earlier in the year at home to the Indians.  Trailing 23-20 in the second, Tyler Curtain took the Mustangs on his shoulder, leading his team to a 19-2 run to end the half.  Curtain finished with a game high 16.  Mason Olmstead had 12 to lead the Indians.

Mount Markham improved to 5-1 in the league and 10-4 overall.  Their next game is Thursday at Cooperstown.

Sauquoit fell to 3-3 in the league and 6-8 overall.  Their next game is Thursday at Sherburne-Earlville.
