New Hartford Knocks Over Nottingham

UTICA, NY (WKTV) - After leading just 7-6 after the first quarter, New Hartford exploded for five unanswered touchdowns against Nottingham for a 41-6 victory at Proctor's D'Alessandro Stadium.

Quarterback Mike Doyle completed 15 of 25 passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns, two to Dan Safford and the other to Anthony Acevedo, who also scored a rushing touchdown.  John Boyle and Eric Verbickas also rushed for touchdowns.

The win clinches a playoff berth for New Hartford with 3-2 final record in Class A National and improves the Spartans to 4-2 overall.  Nottingham finishes 1-4 in league play and is 2-4 overall.
