New Hartford advances to the semi-finals with a win over Nottingham

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The New Hartford Spartans continue their run at a second straight section title with a 44-6 win over Nottingham on Friday.

Joe Carcone and Anthony Acevedo were once again the 1-2 punch the Spartans needed. Acevedo scored three touchdowns on 250 yards rushing including a 73 yard score late in the second quarter to give New Hartford a 30-0 lead.

Carcone had two touchdowns on the night and 104 yards rushing. New Hartford will face ES-M who beat Indian River to advance to the semifinals. The Spartan clash will likely take place on October 30th at a neutral site. Semifinal times, dates and places will be announced on Sunday.
