By JASON POWLES

WHITESBORO, N.Y. (WKTV) - Matt Engler pitched a complete game shutout, giving up three singles, striking out 12, and not allowing a runner past second base to earn his fourth victory of the season as Whitesboro defeated TVL arch-rival New Hartford 7-0 completing a season sweep over the Spartans.

Offensively, Mike Bunal started the scoring for the Warriors with a solo home run in the bottom of the third followed by a Connor Passalacaqua base hit to drive in Engler.

In the fourth, the Warriors Dylan Gorski and Adam Pexton led off the inning with back-to-back base hits.  A sacrifice fly by Devin LeBuis drove in Gorski and Brendan Heitz followed with a two-run home run to make it 5-0 after four innings.

The Warriors finished off its scoring in the fifth with a two-run home run by David Abdou.

The Warriors move to 6-0 in the league and 10-2 overall while the Spartans fall to 2-4 in the TVL and 2-4 overall.
