Westmoreland wins in Class D debut at Notre Dame

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Playing its first game in Class D after winning two of the past three Class C titles in Section III on Friday, Westmoreland made its presence loud and clear with a 44-12 non-league rout at Notre Dame.

The Bulldogs took a 24-0 lead before Notre Dame scored and were never threatened as Justin Becker led the offensive charge with 159 rush yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries while Christian DeRoche led the defense with six tackles and two interceptions.
