Whitesboro girls blank Notre Dame 1-0

WHITESBORO, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Whitesboro Lady Warriors opened up their Tri-Valley league season with a 1-0 win over Notre Dame on Tuesday.

The teams played to a scoreless tie in a first half dominated early by Whitesboro. Lil Eannace was stellar in goal stopping 26 shots. She let one get by in the second half. Megan Chapple brought it up the right side and sent it in, freshman Brie Heitz guided it in. That was all the Lady Warriors needed. Goalie Rachel Edgin had 10 saves to earn the shutout win.

Whitesboro improves to 2-0-1 while Notre Dame drops to 0-1.
