Notre Dame senior headed to LeMoyne

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Allison Jones, senior at Notre Dame Jr./Sr. High School, has accepted an athletics scholarship to play Division II Women's Tennis at LeMoyne College. Jones signed a National Letter of intent committing to LeMoyne this coming fall.

Jones has been a member of the girl's varsity tennis team at Notre Dame for the past six years. She has qualified for sectional play in both singles and double for five straight years. As a three year co-captain she helped lead the 2011 team to its first Section Title in school history. She has won three straight Sectional Doubles Championships and been to the state qualifier three times. She has won two TVL Individual Singles Championships and is a five time TVL All Star.

Jones leaves Notre Dame as the school's record holder in wins in a season (26) and career (112). She also was a four year recipient of the NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award and is a member of the National Honor Society.
