NEW YORK MILLS, NY (WKTV) - With a week that saw a quarterback throw for 300 yards and a receiver tie a school record with 10 catches for 195 yards, the Athlete of the Week nomination pool was a deep one.  But New York Mills' Matt Dziekan rose above the field for one simple reason: he set a new New York State Public High School Athletic Association record with five interceptions in a 14-0 win over West Canada Valley.

In addition to the interceptions, the junior tailback and safety had seven sacks and rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns.  The effort helped the Marauders end a 16-game losing streak dating back to 2004.
