H.S. Softball: Late rally lifts Hamilton over Mills

NEW YORK MILLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Hamilton softball team scored five runs in the seventh inning of their game Wednesday, beating NY Mills 12-8. Errors were costly for the Marauders, as they committed six in the game, two during Hamilton's rally in the seventh.
Becca Rogers went the distance for Hamilton (14-2), striking out ten, while Corrin Flihan had a complete game for NY Mills (10-7), fanning seven.
The game went back and forth, with Mills going up 2-0 in the first, then Hamilton scoring three in the third to take a 3-2 lead. The Marauders went back in front in the fourth, scoring three runs. Hamilton slowly made their way back, getting a run in the fifth and three more in the sixth, to go up 7-5. But Mills picked up three more in the bottom of the sixth, to go up 8-7.
Before the game, the Marauders honored their lone senior, Hailey Griffith.
