Mills wins section title

FAYETTEVILLE, N.Y. - The NY Mills girls volleyball team defeated Hamilton to win the Section III Class D title Saturday at Jamesville-Dewitt High School.  The Marauders won the first two sets 25-19 and 25-21 before Hamilton won the third set 25-17.  Mills then won an extended fourth set 27-25 to take the title.

Alyssa Nicotera led the way for Mills, with seven kills, four aces and eight digs.  Kaitlyn Robles had three kills, five aces, five blocks and ten digs.  Rachel Ellsworth also added 12 assists, while Kayla Britell had nine assists and six aces.

Cooperstown fell in the C-1 final, 3-2 to Tully.  The Redskins won the first two sets before Tully came back to win.  Dolgeville lost their first game of the year, 3-1 to Lafayette, in the C-2 final.
