ORISKANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Oriskany baseball team held on to beat rival New York Mills Wednesday, 4-3.  Nick Springer got the win, pitching six innings, giving up two runs on four hits and four walks, striking out fourteen Marauders.

Springer also hit a leadoff double in the bottom of the second inning, scoring the game's first run on an infield single by Shawn Cassevah.  The Redskins (11-3, 6-0 CSC-IV) got two runs in the second, but by the top of the fourth, NY Mills (7-5, 3-2 CSC-IV) had tied it.  Oriskany would get two more in the bottom of the inning to go back in front.

The Marauders scored a run off closer Kyle Liddy in the top of the seventh, but Liddy shut the door, picking up the save.
