RFA, Proctor girls to meet in tourney final

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The RFA girls basketball team won their first game of the season, 59-50 over Oneida Monday night in the Lady Knight's annual Holiday Tournament.  RFA advances to meet Proctor in the title game on Tuesday, as the Raiders held off Mount St Mary's 42-38.

Allyson Eggan and Ashley Millner led the way for RFA (1-6), with 17 points each in the victory.  Erica Williams had 10 to lead the Lady Indians.

Tatiyana Brooks was the leading scorer in Proctor's win, scoring 9, including a buzzer beater at the end of the third quarter.  The Lady Thunder came back from a 10 point deficit, to pull within a point on Tara Topolski's lay-up late in the fourth.  Topolski led the game in scoring with 14.

The Championship game will be held Tuesday night at 8.
