H.S. Football:Indians eliminate Red Devils from the playoffsONEIDA, N.Y. (WKTV) - In a rainy, muddy battle of Class B rivals, Oneida beat V-V-S 14-6 Friday night, eliminating the Red Devils from the playoffs. V-V-S scored their only touchdown in the first quarter, on a short run by Matt Sliker. Oneida answered in the second quarter, when Dylan Cafalone spun through the Red Devil D and into the end zone for a touchdown. V-V-S nearly took the lead again on a punt return by Sliker which he took back to the end zone. But it was brought back by a block in the back penalty. The score stayed 6-6 until the fourth quarter, when Brandon Worley picked up the go ahead TD for Oneida. V-V-S looked like they were heading to the playoffs, but because of their loss and Camden's win, the Red Devils are now on the outside looking in. Most Popular |
