Boys Basketball: Oneida takes opener at V-V-S

VERNON, N.Y. (WKTV) - In a season that may end up as the last for V-V-S head coach Al Knapp, the Red Devils fell 60-55 in their opener against rival Oneida.  The Indians were led by Kyle Peck, who scored 25 points.  Joe Spinella of V-V-S had 26 for the game high.

Knapp is reportedly considering retiring at the end of this, his 34th season of coaching, between V-V-S and Brookfield, to spend more time with his family, specifically his grandchildren, though he hasn't made up his mind one way or the other yet.
