WKTV - The Whitesboro and New Hartford boys basketball teams both won big Tri-Valley League games Tuesday night. Whitesboro won their first league game of the year, 74-51 at Notre Dame. New Hartford topped Oneida 77-39.
In the Spartans win, which improved them to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the league, Jared Henderson and Mark Chanatry led the way with 14 points apiece. Tom Clifford added 13 and Jordan Henderson 11. The Spartans will visit host Proctor in a non-league showdown Friday night. Oneida fell to 3-2 overall and 0-2 in the TVL and will go to RFA Friday.
Whitesboro's first TVL win of the year was paced by Luke Moore's 23 points and NEWSChannel 2 Athlete of the Week Tom Sblendorio's 13. The Warriors are 3-2 on the season, 1-2 in the TVL and will host Camden, who left the TVL this year, Friday.
Notre Dame, playing their first home game of the season, was led by Simon Pitman's 20 points. The Jugglers are 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the league and will visit VVS in non-league action Friday.
