ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Oriskany had lost to NY Mills twice during the regular season. They were not going to let it happen a third time. The Redskins beat the Marauders 6-1 in the Class D semifinal at DeLutis Field on Saturday night.
Oriskany advances to the Section III, Class D Final and will face defending champion Brookfield on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Alliance Bank Stadium in Syracuse.
Steve Rossi threw a complete game to earn the win for Oriskany. He allowed one run on four hits and struck out six batters. Noah Lupini was 3-for-3 with two runs scored, two stolen bases, and one RBI.
Nate Keating had 2 hits and 3 RBI's. Zach Vennero had two hits and an RBI for NY Mills.
