Poland upsets Oriskany


ORISKANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - The seventh seeded Poland Tornadoes pulled off the upset beating second seeded Oriskany 46-44 in the Class D-1 quarterfinals on Friday night.

Poland led a good portion of the game only to see the Redskins take the lead mid way through he fourth quarter. With Oriskany up 44-43, Dustin DuBrule scored on an amazing drive to the basket with under 30 seconds left in the game. Oriskany came up empty on the ensuing posession and they were forced to foul DeBrule. He hit one of two free throws with .7 seconds left. Oriskany's last shot was off the mark.

Ross Agen led Poland with 12 points while Austin Dexter added 11. The Tornadoes will now face Otselic Valley in the semis at a neutral site.
