Russ, Mills stay perfect with win over Poland

NEW YORK MILLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - The New York Mills boys basketball team continued their perfect season Friday night, with a 54-25 victory over Poland. Fred Russ led the way for the Marauders (14-0), with 24 points and ten rebounds.

Mills took a 12-2 lead after the first quarter, then a 25-7 lead at halftime, but played a large chunk of those first 16 minutes without starter Matt Welch, who picked up two early fouls. But Welch rebounded, scoring six of his eight points on the game in the second half.

The Marauders return home for senior night Tuesday against Rome Catholic.  Their regular season ends on February 11th.
