Steve Sarcone set to play Division I baseball

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Proctor Raiders senior pitcher Steve Sarcone has signed a letter of intent with Division I Rhode Island University. Other schools that were recruiting Steve were Michigan, Central Florida, South Florida, Sienna, Niagara, Buffalo and Southern Mississippi.

He was an 8-1 as a Junior and had 88 strike outs in 84 innings. Steve was named to the All CNY first team, all Mohawk Valley Team and was named to the All State Team.He had a 4-1 record as a Sophmore pitcher and also hit .310 to help lead the Raiders to the 2008 Sectional Championship.

He chose to sign early so that he could focus on his senior season a Proctor.
