Kiesel sets new Proctor record

By MIKE LEVIN

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Brianna Kiesel broke the Proctor school scoring record Saturday, as the Lady Raiders began their new season with a 63-59 win over CBA.  Kiesel scored 22 points, including a three point play late in the fourth quarter, which put Proctor on top to stay.

Kiesel also added eight rebounds and four steals in her first game since breaking her wrist early last season.  The senior has already signed to play for Pittsburgh next year.

While Kiesel made her presence felt throughout the game, she didn't break the record right away.  Instead, she was forced to both tie and break Clara Carter's Proctor girls scoring record at the free throw line.

The Raiders also got 15 points from senior Barrie Brooks, who also added 7 rebounds.

Proctor advances to the championship of their annual Tip-Off Tournament Sunday, to face C-NS, who beat Greece Athena in the second game of the day.
