Proctor's Adam takes first at Hermann

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Proctor's Zakaria Adam took first place in the Santo Paniccia Race at the 71st Annual E.J. Hermann Invitational Cross Country meet at Proctor Park Saturday.  The win in the boys race for big schools, was the first for a Proctor runner since David Brucker won his second straight title in 1981.

Adam's time of 16:22 was 24 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.

In the other races, the Sauquoit Valley boys took the team title in The Bill DeLude, for small schools.  New York Mills finished second.

In the Dave D'Alessandro, for girls small schools, Meghan Tanner of Adirondack finished second, with Kristin Ratliff of Cooperstown in third.
