Raiders stomp Warriors for tourney win

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Proctor boys basketball team won their new Holiday Tournament Wednesday night, with a 72-45 win over Whitesboro at Arcuri Sports Complex.  Maurice Mills led the Raiders with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Proctor led by nineteen in the first half, but the Warriors cut that to ten by halftime.  But a 10-1 run in the third quarter helped the Raiders pull away for good.

Walkery Mills added 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Jayson Jackson had 13 points and five assists for the Raiders (5-1).

DeQuan Jefferson was named MVP of the tournament, finishing with eight rebounds, three assists and three steals for Proctor.

In the tournament consolation game, RFA won its first game of the year, with a 52-38 win over New Hartford.
