Raiders trounce Spartans in tourney

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Proctor boys basketball team flexed their muscles Tuesday night, as the Raiders beat New Hartford 80-44 in the first round of the new Proctor Holiday Tournament.  Playing in their first game in the city of Utica since last season's heartbreaking AA Section III championship game at the Aud, the Raiders shook off a rough start to win big.

T'Andre Richardson and Jayson Jackson each scored 13 points while Keenan Brown added 12 for the Raiders.  Derek German led New Hartford with 13 points and 8 rebounds.

Proctor advances to face Whitesboro in the championship Wednesday night at 7.  The Warriors beat RFA 65-63 in the other first round game Tuesday.
