NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - New Orleans Saints Defensive End Will Smith returned to the Mohawk Valley Saturday, for the third annual Evening of All-Stars at Danielle's, honoring the top high school football players from around the area. The event raised money for the Proctor grad's "Where there's a Will there's a Way" charity.
WKTV's Jason Powles was the MC for the event, which also featured Syracuse Linebackers coach Dan Conley, as well as Utica College head football coach Blaise Faggiano.
Despite the freezing temperatures outside, Smith said he was happy to break out his cold weather gear. "This is funny, I left sunny and hot New Orleans and came up here, it was thirty degrees. I actually miss the cold, I was hoping there would be some snow on the ground, unfortunately there wasn't. I'm excited to be back, visit with a lot of great people up here. They've always been my biggest supporters, they've always supported everything I've done, always come out to help."
