Copenhagen Wins Ed Wadas Wrestling Tournament

MARCY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Copenhagen out-wrestled the competition at Whitesboro on Saturday, winning the overall team title at the 16th annual Ed Wadas Dual Meet Wrestling Tournament.

The meet featured approximately 200 wrestlers from 10 teams in Section III.  Placing after Copenhagen were Mexico, Cortland, V-V-S, Whitesboro, Central Square, RFA, Lowville, New Hartford and Watertown.

Copenhagen also claimed the fastest individual pin with Dylan Eddy accomplishing the feat in 11 seconds.

Whitesboro will next host the annual Tri-Valley League Tournament this coming Friday and Saturday.  The meet will feature around 400 wrestlers from 20 teams across the state.
