RFA Names Swavely As New Varsity Football Coach

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - There's a new man at the helm of the RFA Black Knights varsiity football team. Ted Swavely has been approved by the board of education to take the head coaching job left vacant by Mike Davis.

Davis had been the coach for eight seasons. Swavely was the offensive and defensive line coach as well as the strength and conditioning coach under Davis according to athletic director Mike Stamboly.

Swavely was a member of the 1991 RFA team that went 10-0 and won a Section III title. He attended Canisius College where he played offensive line. He is currently an elementary physical education teacher in the district.
