Big second half lifts RFA over C-NS

By MIKE LEVIN

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The RFA Black Knights took control of their matchup with C-NS Friday night in the fourth quarter, winning 21-7 at home.  Rich Stapleton scored two touchdowns for the Black Knights in the final quarter, to give RFA a comfortable lead.

RFA had several chances to score in the first half, but couldn't reach the end zone.  However their defense also did a super job of keeping the Northstars from scoring as well.  Aaron Tennant picked off a pass thrown by C-NS QB Corey Scanlon just before halftime.

With the win, RFA improves to 3-1 on the season and will travel to Baldwinsville next Friday night.

The field at RFA Stadium will be named after former coach Tom Hoke on October 8th, before the Black Knights game against CBA.
