By JASON POWLES

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - It's been years since the RFA boys basketball program had early season success. This year winning seems to be the norm again. RFA beat New Hartford 73-66 on Thursday night to improve to 6-1 overall, 5-0 in the Tri Valley.

The Black Knights went toe to toe with the Spartans until a 15-5 run late in the fourth quarter. Justin Henry led all scorers with 22 points while Jon Griggs chipped in 17.

New Hartford, now 4-3 overall and 4-2 in the league, was led by Jared Henderson's 18 points. Robert Broccoli added 17.
