Boys Basketball: Mills drops AA RFA in openerROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - In a game that could have been disastrous, Class D power NY Mills knocked off AA RFA Friday night in the Marauders season opener. The defending two time Class D Section III champs and state semifinalists a year ago, Mills gave the newly independent Black Knights an extra game to test their skills early and it paid off. Matt Welch led the Marauders with 18 points, while Jon Grigg led RFA with 12. Mills took a 35-22 lead at halftime, which they extended to 49-29 after three quarters. The Marauders will host Mt Markham Monday night in their home opener at 7:30 p.m. Most Popular |
