UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - It's a rivalry that dates back to 1891 and in 2012 RFA and Proctor battled on the football field on a Thursday night, with the Raiders running roughshod over their rivals, 65-20. Proctor took a 36-0 lead at halftime and never looked back.
The Raiders got the scoring started three minutes into the game, as Jordan Treen threw a 30 yard TD pass to Narron Harvey. Up 6-0 later in the first quarter, Lawrence Elliot then returned an RFA punt 32 yards for another score and at the end of the first quarter, Proctor led 14-0.
Treen would throw two more touchdown passes in the second quarter, the first from 21 yards out to Chris Simmons and the second an 11 yarder to Harvey. Just before halftime, Simmons picked up an RFA fumble and returned it 74 yards for another Proctor TD.
Treen finished the game with four TD passes and 170 yards. Harvey caught three TDs while Simmons and Harvey each had two. Simmons finished with 116 receiving yards.
Proctor also earned its first win of the season (1-2), while RFA fell to 0-3.
